Job Description

KinderCare is seeking an Assistant Teacher for our Southampton School 2 location. In this role, you'll support lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom for young children. You will assist with daily routines, implement developmentally appropriate activities, and help maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities include supervising children, supporting curriculum, communicating with families as directed, and ensuring adherence to all health, safety, and licensing standards while contributing to KinderCare's collaborative culture. Responsibilities Assist lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines Supervise children to ensure a safe, nurturing environment Support implementation of age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom Monitor children's behavior and support positive guidance strategies Communicate daily updates and observations to lead teacher and families as directed Follow health, safety, and licensing regulations at all times Participate in team meetings and ongoing training and development Required Skills Classroom management Early childhood education practices Child supervision Lesson implementation Curriculum support Basic first aid and CPRBehavior guidance Parent communication Record keeping Health and safety compliance
