This contract opportunity is ideal for a paraprofessional experienced with elementary-aged children, particularly in grades 2-4. Youll collaborate closely with a resource room teacher for grade 4/5 students and provide essential in-class support for a Grade 2 classroom. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:15 am to 2:50 pm, allowing for a predictable daytime routine.

Qualifications & Skills:

Prior experience as a paraprofessional, particularly in elementary school settings Familiarity with supporting students in resource rooms and general education classrooms Ability to assist with classroom management and individualized instruction Strong communication and collaboration skills Patience, adaptability, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant paraprofessional certification preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Support a grade 4/5 resource room teacher with daily activities and individualized student needs Provide direct in-class assistance in a Grade 2 classroom, reinforcing lessons and ensuring students stay engaged Assist with implementing educational plans, accommodations, and modifications Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment and encourage student participation Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to maintain a supportive atmosphere Supervise students during non-instructional times as needed Take advantage of a contract role with consistent hours and a meaningful connection to students daily growth.
