Ace Healthcare Training Institute - Union, NJ Ace Healthcare Training Institute (AHTI) is seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Assistant Instructor to join our instructional team at our Union, New Jersey campus . We are looking for a healthcare professional who has strong hands-on experience in Medical Assisting and is passionate about preparing students for successful careers in healthcare. Candidates with additional experience in Medical Billing and Coding are strongly preferred. Ideally, we would like to identify an instructor who is capable of teaching in both areas; however, Medical Billing and Coding experience is not required for an otherwise highly qualified Medical Assistant instructor. Primary Responsibilities The instructor will be responsible for providing structured classroom and hands-on instruction consistent with AHTI's established curriculum and instructional standards.

Responsibilities include:

Delivering organized and engaging classroom instruction Teaching Medical Assisting theory and clinical skills Providing hands-on instruction in areas such as vital signs, patient preparation, clinical procedures, phlebotomy, EKG, infection control, and other applicable Medical Assistant competencies Preparing students for applicable NHA certification examinations Following AHTI's established curriculum, textbooks, lesson plans, and academic policies Providing students with adequate opportunities to practice and demonstrate clinical competencies Monitoring student academic progress and identifying students who may require additional support Maintaining accurate attendance, grades, skills documentation, and other required academic records Providing constructive feedback and remediation when appropriate Maintaining a professional, respectful, and supportive classroom environment Communicating student concerns to the Education Director and administration Participating in faculty meetings, training, and academic-quality initiatives Ensuring students receive instruction that prepares them for both certification examinations and real-world healthcare environments Preferred Additional Experience - Medical Billing & Coding Candidates with experience in Medical Billing and Coding are strongly encouraged to apply. Qualifications Required/Preferred:

Professional experience in Medical Assisting or a closely related healthcare field Strong knowledge of clinical Medical Assistant procedures and responsibilities Current or previous Medical Assistant certification/credential preferred Phlebotomy and EKG experience strongly preferred Previous teaching, training, precepting, or mentoring experience preferred Medical Billing and Coding experience or credentials are a plus Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to teach both theory and hands-on clinical skills Comfortable working with adult learners from diverse educational and professional backgrounds Ability to follow an established curriculum and institutional academic standards Dependable, professional, patient, and student-focused What We Are Looking For AHTI is looking for more than someone who can simply present material.
