Role:
Join Lightbridge Academy of Westfield as an Assistant Teacher, where you will play a vital role in shaping young minds in a nurturing and dynamic environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside passionate educators dedicated to fostering a love for learning.
Responsibilities:
Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities. Support the developmental needs of children in a safe and engaging environment. Encourage positive interactions and relationships among children. Help maintain a clean and organized classroom space. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress. Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities. Assist in assessing and documenting children's growth and development.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in education preferred. Experience working with children in an educational setting is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young children. Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators. Basic knowledge of child development principles. CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Background check required.
