Director, LIMI Vocational School Position Summary:
The Allied Health Instructor is responsible for delivering high‑quality, competency‑based instruction for the CNA, HHA, and Certified Medication Aide training programs at LIMI Vocational School. This role requires a Registered Nurse with substantial experience in home care, long‑term care, and medication administration. The instructor ensures that all teaching, skills training, and clinical supervision meet New Jersey Board of Nursing and Department of Health regulatory standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical expertise, professionalism, and a commitment to preparing students for safe, compassionate, and effective entry‑level practice in diverse healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction & Curriculum Delivery Provide classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction aligned with NJ Board of Nursing and NJ Department of Health requirements. Teach core competencies including personal care, infection control, communication, safety, vital signs, dementia care, home‑care procedures, and medication administration. Deliver curriculum using evidence‑based practices, adult‑learning principles, and hands‑on demonstrations. Clinical Supervision Supervise students during clinical rotations in long‑term care, assisted living, or home‑care settings. Evaluate student performance, competency, professionalism, and adherence to safety protocols. Ensure compliance with facility policies, patient rights, and regulatory standards. Program Compliance & Documentation Maintain accurate attendance records, skills checklists, clinical evaluations, and student progress reports. Ensure instructional content meets

37‑14 (CHHA), N.J.A.C. 8:36/8:39 (clinical sites), and CNA/CMA regulatory requirements. Participate in program audits, curriculum updates, and quality‑assurance activities. Student Support & Professional Development Provide guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback to support student success. Promote ethical conduct, cultural competence, and professional communication. Address student concerns and uphold school policies and standards. Collaboration & Leadership Work collaboratively with school administration, clinical partners, and interdisciplinary teams. Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Represent LIMI Vocational School professionally in all interactions with regulatory bodies and partner facilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Active, unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience in home care, long‑term care, or related settings. Experience in medication administration and resident care in assisted living or long‑term care. Completion of the NJ Train‑the‑Trainer Orientation Workshop (for Medication Aide instruction). Strong communication, teaching, and organizational skills. Ability to supervise students and maintain compliance with state regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior teaching or precepting experience in vocational or healthcare education. Experience with CNA, HHA, or CMA training programs. Familiarity with adult‑learning methodologies and competency‑based instruction. CPR/BLS certification.
Work Environment & Schedule:
Classroom, skills lab, and clinical facility settings. Day, evening, and weekend schedules may be available depending on program needs.

To ensure students receive high‑quality, compliant, and compassionate training that prepares them for certification and successful employment in New Jersey's healthcare workforce.
