This role involves working closely with students, including those with special needs, to foster an inclusive and engaging educational environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, experience working with adolescents, and a strong understanding of childhood development and classroom management. Prior experience in special education, literacy, math, or Montessori methods is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to student success while gaining valuable educational experience in a supportive setting.
MUST POSSESS BACHELORS DEGREE
Responsibilities Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans across subjects such as literacy, math, and curriculum development Support students with special needs, including those with autism and disabilities, ensuring they receive appropriate accommodations Help manage classroom behavior and promote positive behavior management strategies Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to reinforce learning objectives Support students' social-emotional development and foster an inclusive classroom environment Assist with daily classroom routines, including attendance, transitions, and activities Contribute to curriculum development and adapt instructional materials to meet diverse student needs Supervise students during activities, recess, lunch periods, and field trips Maintain clear communication with teachers, parents, and support staff regarding student progress and behavioral concerns Support early childhood education initiatives such as preschool or daycare programs when applicable Qualifications
MUST POSSESS BACHELORS DEGREE
Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; preschool or daycare experience is a plus Knowledge of special education practices, behavior management strategies, and working with students with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder Familiarity with curriculum development for literacy and math instruction Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents Classroom management skills to create a safe and productive learning environment Experience with Montessori methods or private school environments is desirable Ability to adapt instructional approaches for diverse learners including toddlers, preschoolers, and high school students Passion for supporting student growth academically and socially in an inclusive setting This position is designed for individuals committed to fostering educational success for all students through compassionate support and effective instructional assistance.
