Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Special Education Paraprofessional to join our dynamic educational team. In this vital role, you will provide essential classroom support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and behavioral challenges. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support students' social, emotional, and academic development. Duties Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans Support students with disabilities by providing physical assistance, behavioral management, and classroom support tailored to their needs Use effective behavior management techniques to promote positive conduct and social skills among students with behavioral disorders or autism spectrum disorders Help maintain a safe, organized classroom environment that encourages literacy education, basic math skills, and early childhood development activities Collaborate with other professionals such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and counselors to support student progress Handle confidential information responsibly while documenting student behaviors, progress notes, and IEP implementation details accurately Experience Prior experience working with children in classroom settings, childcare centers, or private schools is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Experience working with students with special needs, including those with disabilities or developmental disabilities such as autism spectrum disorders Join us in creating an empowering educational environment where every child receives the support they need to succeed!
