TRIO SSS
Director, the

Assistant Director will design and implement academic student support services, data collection, entry, maintenance, analysis, and reporting activities, as well as ensuring security of confidential information in the TRIO Student Support Services Program.

Develop/collect, organize, enter, maintain, verify, analyze, and ensure the security of accurate information within all TRIO SSS-specific database systems, as well as confidential FERPA-compliant program records and program files on all

Participants, activities, and services provided. Develop, assemble, and maintain systems for collection, aggregation, and reporting of data required for compliance with the U.S. Department of Education and other accountability processes. Assist in the development of the Department of Education Annual Performance Report. Prepare and submit reports as needed by the
TRIO SSS
Director. Collaborate with others, including TRIO SSS and ENMU campus staff, to ensure effective project implementation. Maintain good rapport with students and Eastern Mexico University personnel. Participate in campus, state, regional, and national TRIO conferences, including other professional seminars. TRIO participant recruiting. Regular and predictable attendance required Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with three years of related experience is required. Experience providing student services and data analysis, as well as experience in financial aid and scholarships, academic advising, or career exploration and mentoring, is required. Strong communication and organizational skills are required. Sensitivity to the needs of economically disadvantaged students is required.
Preferred:
Master's degree. Experience interacting with students from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Experience with TRIO programs/disability services. Bilingual.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of the practices, procedures, and activities of the grant program General knowledge of the methods and problems of organizational and program management General knowledge of research and interview techniques General knowledge of the principles of individual and group behavior Sensitivity to the needs of economically disadvantaged students Excellent oral and written communication skills
Working Conditions Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
Work is performed inside a non-smoking facility with regular work hours, but will require some evening and weekend hours Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
