9590493-87562 Job Description Bring your passion for American Sign Language and student support to a rewarding contract opportunity as an ASL Facilitator in New Mexico. This role offers the chance to work with diverse students across two locationsAlbuquerque and Santa Feby bridging communication and care as part of a collaborative school-based team. Youll play an essential role supporting students and facilitating sessions for a virtual physical therapist. With mostly part-time hours, youll have flexibility as you nurture young learners and help foster their engagement and development. The position begins August 3 and extends through June 5.

What youll do:

Facilitate ASL communication for students and staff during virtual physical therapy sessions Assist the therapist and educators in ensuring students participation and comprehension Serve as a language model and support for students ranging from infants to young adults, depending on site Maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment for students who are deaf, hard of hearing, or utilize sign language Travel to support one school each in Albuquerque (approximately 1-2 days per week, 18 months6 years, 15 students) and Santa Fe (approximately 1-2 days per week, 18 months22 years, 1015 students) Preferred experience and qualifications: Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language Background as a paraprofessional, sign language interpreter, or in special education facilitates rapid success Previous experience with children or young adults in educational settings Reliable, organized, and comfortable working independently across school environments Strong interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with students, families, and staff As a contractor, youll contribute to meaningful change and enjoy the satisfaction of helping students thrive.
