Garcia Street Club, a 5-Star, nationally-accredited preschool, located on the historic east side of Santa Fe for 80 years, is seeking an experienced preschool teacher. Come work with us! We're looking for a motivated, friendly, and experienced teacher to join us as an Assistant Teacher in our Pre-K classroom of 14-16 children. Our Reggio Emilia-inspired program is hands-on, play- and arts-based, and deeply rooted in social-emotional learning. Compensation is dependent upon experience and education. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or the equivalent number of credit hours in ECE or a related field in addition to at least one year of experience teaching young children in a play-based environment, plus solid communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. Solid knowledge of social-emotional development and sensory-rich emergent curriculum is a plus!

Job Responsibilities:

Build and maintain strong relationships with children and families Collaborate with co-teacher to implement well-rounded, project-based, Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum Support children in providing a safe, loving, organized, and enriching classroom environment Maintain documentation of children's learning, including photos, video, and anecdotes Provide ongoing assessment of children's developmental milestones through focused portfolios and developmental checklists Share in daily cleaning and sanitation of classroom
