QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree or equivalent in Special Education and Special Education administration Must meet minimum Special Education Supervisor requirements as defined by MARSE Rule 340.1772 (Full or Temporary Approval) Center Based experience preferred Experience working with students with Emotional Impairments preferred Ability to assess the fidelity and efficacy of special education program implementation Knowledge of assessment and research based instructional strategies Full approval in at least one area of special education Five years of successful experience in special education preferred Philosophy in accord with the Lincoln Park Public Schools and the Lincoln Park Board of Education Must meet Federal and State laws and regulations Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education and/or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
DUTIES:
Assist with coordination of Special Education Programs and Services Assist with implementation of appropriate behavior management techniques Assist with implementation and enforcement of code of conduct Assist with implementation of building wide PBIS Assist with training and support for special education compliance Assist with supervision of professional and support staff Assist with the implementation of professional development programs Assist with the implementation of trauma informed and restorative practices Attend local and State meetings and participate on committees Assist with coordination of Medicaid, M-Step, and
MI ACCESS
programs, and all state testing Assist with evaluation of staff Assist with coordination of parent communication Other duties as assigned
