Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children in a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and indoor/outdoor activities to ensure safety and positive behavior management. Support classroom organization by preparing materials, setting up learning stations, and maintaining cleanliness. Engage with children through interactive play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and educational exercises to encourage curiosity and learning. Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, developmental progress, and any concerns or observations. Follow all safety protocols including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures to respond promptly to emergencies. Support inclusive practices by working with children with special needs or disabilities to ensure they feel supported and included. Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is preferred. Knowledge of child development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to supervise multiple children effectively. Excellent communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration. Ability to work actively on your feet for extended periods while maintaining a lively and positive attitude. Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
