PRESCHOOL TEACHER

e. health & safety, nutrition and regulations. Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and maintain accurate classroom records. Responsible for supervision of the children or for coordinating appropriately qualified personnel in your absence as well as inform Assistant Teacher/Director. Develop and implement age appropriate activities and lesson plans in a fun and safe environment, following school curriculum. Fosters positive parent relationships through respecting the confidential nature of all information about parents, children, and staff. Maintain open communication with parents, addressing their questions or concerns in a timely manner. Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress Provides a forum for ongoing communication daily notes, phone calls, etc. Attends and participates in required staff meetings, trainings, workshops, and parent/teacher meetings. Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, admin, students and parents Adhere to schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime Facilitate meals, snacks, bathroom among other daily activities for supervised group of children Qualifications Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Child Development Associate (CDA), or acceptable plan of study preferred Teaching Certification NOT required Familiarity with licensing regulations and requirements for preschool programs a plus Previous experience working in a preschool, daycare setting, or other young children environments preferred Must have good organization, communication and writing skills Strong leadership and management skills. Develop and implement age appropriate activities and lesson plans in a fun and safe environment, following school curriculum. Qualifications Must have an Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field (or higher) OR Child Development Associate credential, or, 9 college credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field, with a plan leading to a Child Development Associate credential and Two years' experience related to caring for children In addition to the above, 1 year of specific training and/or experience in toddler care which may be demonstrated by obtaining an Toddler Child Care credential Teaching Certification NOT required Familiarity with licensing regulations and requirements for preschool programs a plus Previous experience working in a preschool, daycare setting, or other young children environments preferred Must have good organization, communication and writing skills Strong leadership and management skills.
