No certification yet? That's okay! If you meet the minimum requirements and are willing to complete the necessary steps toward New York State Teaching Assistant Certification , we encourage you to apply.
Minimum Requirements Candidates must:
Be at least 19 years of age Have a minimum of 9 college credits Obtain fingerprint clearance Provide a valid Photo ID Provide a Social Security Card Take and pass the New York State Assessment of Teaching Assistant Skills (ATAS) Complete the required Child Abuse Identification , School Violence Prevention , DASA (Dignity for All Students Act) workshops.
