Temporary Floating Farm Teacher Aide/Assistant Green Chimneys - 3.3 Brewster, NY Job Details Temporary | Seasonal $16.01 - $21.35 an hour 13 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Driver's License Typing Full Job Description The Farm Program Floating Teacher Aide/Assistant is assigned to support and/or substitute for teachers in the Wildlife Center, Teaching Barn and Horse Barn, and Garden in the absence of teachers in these areas as directed and assigned by the Assistant Director of Nature Based Education. The position also supports all aspects of the nature based education program, which includes but is not necessarily limited to assisting in wildlife classes, teaching barn classes, garden classes or equine classes, learn and earn farm programs for children with special needs. Participates in maintaining the farm and assists in school and farm special events. This is a temporary and not benefit eligible role. The rate of pay for this role is $16.01 to $21.35 per hour DOE.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma, college degree preferred Experience with working with children and Animals and Plants a plus
Licensure/Certification:
NY State TA certification (or ability to attain such) Valid Driver's license and clean driving record CPR certification or the ability to become certified Physical/Mental Requirements (ADA Compliance): In order to perform the essential duties of the job, the incumbent must be able to speak, hear, see and type Must have the ability to work long hours, in a hectic environment, often under pressure. Must have the mobility to perform the essential duties of the position Must be able to lift and carry fifty pounds
