Use American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication strategies to facilitate effective interaction for students with communication challenges. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, counselors, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies for student support, including behavior management plans. Assist with classroom organization, including preparing materials, supervising activities, and ensuring safety during toddler care or early childhood education sessions. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, especially in special education or private school environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior support strategies for students with disabilities. Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), developmental disabilities, and the requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining professionalism. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, families, and other professionals. Experience working with students requiring physical assistance or behavioral disorder support is highly desirable. Basic math skills and literacy education knowledge to support academic activities across age groups from toddlers to early learners.
