Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that align with early childhood standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Facilitate engaging classroom activities that promote child development, creativity, and critical thinking. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful environment. Communicate regularly with parents about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school connections. Conduct child assessments using standardized testing methods and document developmental progress for individual planning. Support children with special needs through tailored instruction, early intervention techniques, and collaboration with specialists. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning while adhering to health and safety regulations such as first aid and CPR certification requirements. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of child development principles, childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques. Experience developing curriculum content across various domains including literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Familiarity with special education strategies, early intervention programs, and behavior management approaches. Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and children from diverse backgrounds. Classroom experience in preschool or private school environments is advantageous. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or early childhood education are a plus.
