Job Description:

Horizon Staffing Solutions is seeking motivated and compassionate Certified Teacher Assistants for the school year (2026-2027). In this role, you will support classroom teachers and help students-particularly those with special needs-reach their academic and personal goals.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students Assist with classroom management and daily activities Prepare instructional materials and classroom equipment Support students' academic, social, and emotional development Follow IEPs and 504 Plans to meet student needs Collaborate with teachers and school staff Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Valid New York State Teacher Assistant Certification (required) 6 months to 1 year of classroom experience preferred Experience working with special needs students is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, patient, and team-oriented
