About Us:
Warren County Head Start and Early Head Start are federally funded programs for pregnant women, children ages birth through 5 years old and their families. Our goal is to provide high-quality education and support, as early as pregnancy through the Preschool years to children, families and our community.
Qualifications:
Child Development Associate (CDA), Associate's Degree.
Position Overview:
The Assistant Teacher is a support to the lead Teacher in the classroom. The position requires assisting with planning classroom activities and maintaining documentation. It is expected that the Assistant Teacher work with small groups of children and take over for the teacher on a short-term basis if needed. Assists the teacher in daily operation of classroom Is responsible for maintaining classroom routines and activities in absence of Teacher Assists teacher in maintaining child and family information systems through designated technology programs Uses authentic assessment techniques, including anecdotal notes, to plan for individual children Is responsible for all recordkeeping, including attendance, meal counts, and other documentation as required
