We're seeking compassionate, skilled professionals for several contract opportunities assisting children who have a variety of educational and medical needs. This onsite role offers the chance to work closely with students, educators, and families, fostering growth and inclusion within the classroom.
What you bring:
Experience as a paraprofessional, teachers aide, or CNA, preferably within school settings Comfort and skill working with students with medical needs, including those who are wheelchair-bound Ability to provide one-on-one support, particularly in programs for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder or multiple disabilities For Assistant roles: Valid New York Teachers Assistant Certificate required For Aide roles: Previous experience with preschool, school-aged children, or behavioral support Collaborative spirit and effective communication skills Reliability for a full-time, onsite schedule Your key responsibilities: Deliver attentive, compassionate assistance to students needing individualized support Support classroom routines, reinforce lesson goals, and aid in adaptive/therapeutic activities Attend to students medical and mobility assistance needs as required Foster an inclusive, respectful environment for all learners Work proactively with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure quality care and educational experiences Assist with classroom management and behavior intervention plans This contract runs through June 2027, working approximately 32.5 hours each week onsite at one of several school campuses.
