Join Our Team! — Assistant Teacher Opportunity at Yeshiva Har Torah Yeshiva Har Torah, a vibrant Orthodox Jewish day school on the Queens/Long Island border, is seeking caring and dedicated Assistant Teachers to begin immediately for the current school year.
Position Overview:
As an assistant teacher, you will work closely with our head teachers to help create a nurturing, engaging, and structured classroom environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education, love working with children, and are eager to grow professionally in a warm, collaborative school community. Both full and part time opportunities available. Salary range listed is for full time candidates.
Part Time Hours:
7:45AM-12:30PM or 12:30PM-4:00PM (shorter hours on Friday)
Full Time Hours:
7:45AM-4:00PM (shorter hours on Friday)
Responsibilities Include:
Supporting the head teacher with instruction, classroom management, and daily routines Working with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning Helping prepare materials and maintain a well-organized classroom Assisting with supervision of students throughout the school day Contributing to a positive and respectful classroom culture
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; bachelors degree preferred Prior experience working with children strongly preferred Warm, responsible, and flexible team player Strong communication skills Why YHT?
