RESPONSIBILITIES
: Collaboration and communication with administration and staff on behalf of students success Support students academic, emotional and behavioral needs as indicated by their IEPs Provide the teacher with information about students that will assist the teacher in the development of appropriate learning and behavioral experiences Knowledge of de-escalation and self-management strategies and implementation and the willingness to obtain and employ Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training. Data collection and implementation of behavior plans. Assist with related instructional work as required Maintain instructional materials and/or manual and electronic files/records (e.g. lessons, attendance, pencils, paper, teaching supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability of items, providing written reports, or meeting mandated requirements Performs general tasks for the purpose of helping the teacher get instructional materials ready Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Must hold a valid NYS Teaching Assistant Certification
