Job Description
The New Interdisciplinary School (NIS), a respected nonprofit early childhood learning center serving children from infancy to age five, is looking for an enthusiastic Certified Teacher's Assistant to join our exceptional team! Job Description:
- Support classroom teachers by delivering instruction in their absence and ensuring continuity of learning
- Assist in planning and facilitating engaging classroom activities
- Support student routines and learning across settings including classrooms, playgrounds, hallways, and community spaces
- Help create a safe, positive, growth-oriented atmosphere for children with diverse abilities
Qualifications:
- NYS Teaching Assistant Certificate
- Skilled in classroom management and effective communication
- Experienced working with young children, especially in educational settings
- Strong understanding of early childhood development
- Knowledgeable in special education practices; experience with autism is a major plus!
- Background in daycare, preschool, toddler care, or behavioral support a bonus

$19.25- $23.
