Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Afternoon Teaching Assistant from 12:00pm-5:00pm to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to enhance the educational experience. We follow the Millbrook Central School District Calendar and give PTO for holiday/school closings which amounts to over 20 days of holiday pay. Duties Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities. Help maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning. Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers as necessary. Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies. Supervise students during recess, snack and other non-classroom activities.. Skills Candidates should possess a range of skills that contribute to effective teaching assistance, including: First aid certification-we assist with this Preschool experience or early childhood education background Experience working with children in various settings (daycare, preschool, etc.) Strong classroom management abilities Familiarity with caregiving practices such as nannying or babysitting We encourage individuals who are passionate about education and committed to making a difference in the lives of children to apply for this rewarding position.
