Full Job Description Job Description:

Support teachers in preparing instructional materials, supervising students, and managing classrooms. Assist with daily plans, IEP goals, testing accommodations, and teaching small groups. Accompany classes to special activities and take responsibility in the teacher's absence. Perform clerical tasks, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to school policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate on and execute daily instructional plans Prepare materials and assist with classroom management Supervise students and teach small groups Provide testing accommodations and perform clerical tasks Accompany classes to activities and assume teacher responsibilities when needed Use positive behavior strategies and participate in professional development Serve as a role model and maintain ethical behavior

Qualifications:

Valid NYS certification as a teaching assistant (or teacher) required Experience with students with disabilities Strong behavior management skills Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply

Salary:

$22,956 - $29,588 for a 10-month period, based on education and experience. Additional compensation opportunities are available through a separate 6-week summer school program contract
