Job Description

Bunny Bunch Daycare & Pre-K Bunny Bunch Daycare & Pre-K is seeking a caring, flexible, and experienced UPK Inclusion & Support Teacher to join our Universal Pre-Kindergarten program. This is a unique position designed to provide additional support throughout our UPK classrooms. Rather than being assigned to one classroom, this teacher will work across the UPK program, providing support to students and teachers wherever needed. Position Responsibilities The UPK Inclusion & Support Teacher will: Visit and provide support in UPK classrooms throughout the program. Provide additional support to children with disabilities and children who may need extra assistance within the classroom setting. Work collaboratively with UPK teachers to help implement appropriate classroom strategies, accommodations, and supports. Observe students and help teachers identify strategies that may improve participation, behavior, communication, social-emotional development, and classroom success. Provide individual or small-group support when appropriate. Serve as an additional teacher in classrooms that would benefit from extra support. Assist during challenging classroom times, transitions, activities, or routines. Substitute for UPK teachers when a teacher is absent. Provide classroom coverage as needed throughout the UPK program. Assist with classroom activities, lesson implementation, supervision, and daily routines. Collaborate with teachers, administration, related service providers, and other professionals supporting our UPK students. Help promote inclusive classroom environments where children of varying abilities can learn and participate together. Maintain confidentiality and follow all Bunny Bunch, school district, NYS UPK, and child care policies and procedures. Qualifications NYS Teacher Certification in Students with Disabilities/Children with Disabilities required. Early Childhood Education certification and/or experience preferred. Experience working with preschool-aged children and children with varying developmental needs preferred. Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices, classroom management, inclusion, and special education supports. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teachers and classrooms. Must be flexible and comfortable with a position that may look different from day to day. Dependable, organized, positive, and willing to step in wherever support is needed.
Schedule & Compensation Pay:
$25.00 per hour Position follows the school-year calendar . Candidate should be available on school calendar days between approximately 8:30 AM-2:30 PM . Schedule can be flexible based on availability for the right candidate. Additional optional hours may be available through our wraparound care program . Summer Camp hours are also available for candidates interested in additional summer hours. What Makes This Position Different This position does not have one assigned classroom . The goal is to have an experienced, certified teacher available throughout our UPK program who can provide an additional layer of support for our students and teaching teams. On any given day, this teacher may be supporting a student in one classroom, assisting a teacher with classroom strategies in another, working with a small group, providing an extra set of hands during a busy part of the day, or stepping in as the substitute teacher for an absent UPK teacher. The ideal candidate will enjoy variety, collaboration, and the opportunity to make an impact across multiple classrooms rather than being responsible for one classroom of their own.
