Job Description

The Children and Youth Division of Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. is seeking a Program Assistant to join our Otsego County Youth ACT Team. The program will serve youth ages 10-20 years 11 months. The program will provide intensive clinical treatment for youth who had traditionally faced challenges with the current mental health treatment model. Program staff are a team who utilize youth guided, family driven approaches to develop the best strategies and interventions for mental health recovery and wellness. Why Join Our Team? Work within a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatry, peer advocates, case managers, and family-focused professionals. Receive support and collaboration from experienced team members. Comprehensive benefits package. As a Program Assistant, you will be responsible for:
  • creating the daily board and updating it during each meeting
  • managing staff training roaster
  • communicating program needs with division administrative support
  • responding to phone calls
  • putting together referral packets
  • setting up meetings
  • emailing providers
  • taking meeting minutes
  • arranging conference and Zoom calls
  • transportation of youth when needed
  • coordinating with IT of other entities as needed
  • assisting in some support for additional C&Y programing There may be additional responsibilities assigned as needed to support evolving needs of Youth ACT Program.
Qualifications for this
Position:
  • High school diploma required with some secretarial experience preferred.
  • Active/valid driver's license
  • Successful completion of a background check including Justice Center and New York State Office of Children and Family Services Statewide Central Register Database Check clearance.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work with a diverse population.
Must have strong communication skills. Knowledge of trauma informed care service delivery will be a plus. $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
