Early Childhood Teacher's Assistant The Port Washington Children's Center | Port Washington, NY Help Us Make a Difference Every Day! Are you passionate about working with young children and looking for a rewarding position in a supportive, team-oriented environment? The Port Washington Children's Center (PWCC) is looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable Teacher's Assistant to join our Early Childhood Program ! As a Teacher's Assistant, you'll work alongside our experienced teaching staff to create a warm, safe, and engaging environment where young children can learn, grow, and thrive. If you love working with children and want to be part of a team that makes a difference every day, we would love to hear from you! What You'll Do Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines Help create fun, engaging, and age-appropriate learning experiences Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth Build positive and nurturing relationships with children Assist with meals, rest time, transitions, and other classroom routines Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom Prepare classroom materials and assist with activities Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members Communicate professionally and positively with families and coworkers Follow all health, safety, and OCFS regulations and requirements What We're Looking For Previous experience working with young children preferred Experience in an early childhood or preschool setting is a plus Familiarity with OCFS regulations A positive, patient, and nurturing attitude Dependable and responsible Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, active classroom environment A genuine passion for helping young children learn and grow Why Join PWCC?
