Requirements:

Must have NYS Certification as a Teaching Assistant

• Level I, Level II or Level III or have NYS certification as a teacher We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications: Works well on a team Experience in an elementary setting preferred Possess excellent classroom management skills Capable of lifting and supporting students with toileting when necessary Experience supporting young students in social emotional learning in a play-based environment.

Exemplify the WCSD vision, Core Beliefs, and Essential Skills Must have a professional repertoire including but not limited to organization, time management, technology skills and approach

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with teachers Support students with Instructional projects Assists students with physical care tasks and health-related activities as appropriate.

Examples could include:

feeding, dressing, transfers between equipment, and toileting.

As per current Educational Support Association Agreement (ESA) as well as education and experience
