This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with experienced teachers, implement engaging curriculum, and contribute to the growth of children in a preschool setting. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans focused on literacy, math, and early childhood education principles such as Montessori or other curriculum models. Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and engaging environment for preschool-aged children. Provide individualized support to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism, ensuring inclusive participation in activities. Help facilitate activities that promote social skills, behavior management, and positive interactions among students. Aid in classroom setup, material preparation, and cleanup to ensure smooth daily operations. Collaborate closely with teachers to monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive educational community. Experience Prior experience working with young children in an educational support role or childcare setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development theories and early childhood education practices such as preschool teaching or toddler care is essential. Familiarity with special education techniques, behavior management strategies, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism enhances your effectiveness in this role. Experience collaborating within a school environment, including private or public school settings, is preferred. Technical proficiency in classroom management tools and curriculum development supports your ability to contribute meaningfully to daily activities. Demonstrated communication skills that facilitate clear interactions with children, families, and team members are vital for success.
