Job Description

Summary:
Early childhood assistant teacher needed for a classroom located on campus at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Will work collaboratively with co-teachers, student learners, and center leadership to provide a safe and happy learning experience for children by: Coordinating classroom experiences and routines. Maintaining clean, safe and organized classrooms, adhering to all licensing and accreditation standards. Engaging with families during drop-off and pick-up, communicating updates on the child's day. Ensuring proper paperwork is completed and filed. Other classroom duties as needed to ensure a positive environment for students and team. This is a temporary, full-time position starting ASAP, and lasting approximately eight weeks while a permanent search is conducted. The schedule can sometimes vary and will not to exceed 40 hours per week. A typical schedule would be Monday through Friday from 8:15a.m.- 5:15p.m. Pay is $15/hour.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree is required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred Experience working with and supervising young children from diverse backgrounds. Successful completion of a background check.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Developmentally Appropriate Practices and Ohio's Early Learning and Development Standards Pay:
$15.00 per hour
