Duties Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across subjects such as literacy, math, and early childhood education, ensuring alignment with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) standards. Assist with classroom management by supervising children during activities, transitions, and breaks to maintain a safe and organized environment. Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring and mentoring to reinforce learning concepts, especially for students with disabilities or those requiring additional support. Help prepare instructional materials and educational technologies, including computers and other digital tools, to enhance classroom learning experiences. Monitor student behavior using effective behavior management techniques, addressing disruptions promptly and positively. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, behavioral concerns, or special needs to foster collaborative support. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress notes, and incident reports in compliance with educational regulations and policies. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students. Ability to supervise children safely while demonstrating patience and empathy.
