Job Description

Company Overview Aultman Women's Child Care Center provides dedicated child care services tailored for employees of Aultman Hospital. Our mission is to create a nurturing and educational environment where children can thrive and develop essential skills. Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with lesson planning, and foster a positive learning atmosphere for young children. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help shape a foundation of curiosity, confidence, and joy in our students. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social skills. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized environment. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote development in areas such as communication skills, motor skills, and social-emotional growth. Help with classroom routines such as snack time, nap time, and transitions to ensure smooth operations. Work closely with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism, providing individualized support as needed. Contribute to curriculum development by suggesting creative activities that enhance learning experiences. Communicate effectively with parents and team members to share progress and address any concerns. Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of early childhood development principles and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with special education strategies, behavior management, and working with children with disabilities or autism. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families. Experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and literacy education is advantageous. Certifications or coursework in childhood education, Montessori methods, or toddler care are a plus. Ability to remain energetic, patient, and positive in a dynamic classroom environment.
