JRC Learning Center has a Preschool Assistant Teaching position opening. JRC Learning Center is a Gold Star Step Up to Quality Early Education Center. We are looking for individuals who care about high quality early education and care, and helping children be ready for kindergarten!
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assistant Teacher:
Work cooperatively with the lead teacher in teaching and implementing activities and plans as described above Implement activities that ensure the safety, involvement, and creativity of each individual in the group. Work with the Lead Teacher to plan, discuss and implement daily plans in accordance with the current curriculum, incorporating the Ohio Department of Education Standards. Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback

REQUIREMENTS
Proven teaching experience Excellent understanding of the principals of child development and a love for children with a strong desire to teach and make a difference Excellent communication and instructional skills Reliable Ability to build relationships with families and coworkers Exceptional customer service skills Ability to handle multiple situations effectively Organized with attention to detail
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS A
minimum of an Preschool CDA (Child Development Associate credential) or an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience The following certifications are required: First-Aid, Communicable Disease, CPR (infant/child/adult) and Child Abuse Certifications within 90 days JRC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
