Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities for preschool-aged children.
- Provide support and supervision to children during daily routines, such as mealtime, naptime, and outdoor play.
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children, including those with special needs or behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop individualized plans and strategies to support children with autism or other developmental differences.
- Assist in behavior management and redirection techniques to promote a safe and positive classroom environment.
- Support the lead teacher in maintaining accurate records of each child's progress and development.
- Help with classroom organization, including setting up learning centers, preparing materials, and maintaining a clean and organized space.
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a preschool or daycare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Experience working with children with special needs or autism is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
