Support children's individual needs by applying knowledge of childhood development and early intervention techniques, including special education accommodations when necessary. Engage in child welfare practices by ensuring safety protocols are followed and maintaining compliance with mandated reporting laws. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and promote collaborative involvement in their child's growth. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly. Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, child progress reports, incident reports, and classroom activities to ensure transparency and continuous improvement. Requirements Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or toddler care environments. Strong knowledge of child development instruction, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development for early childhood education programs that include literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure safety in emergency situations. Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration. Experience teaching physical education or implementing childhood development programs is preferred. Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and maintain confidentiality regarding student information. Demonstrated ability to plan lessons effectively while managing a classroom environment that supports diverse learners including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Knowledge of preschool teaching standards and experience working within private or public school settings is advantageous.
