Heart + Harmony Kids | Hilliard, Ohio Heart + Harmony Kids is looking for a caring, dependable Infant Assistant to join our early childhood education team. This part-time role supports our lead teachers in creating a safe, calm, nurturing, and engaging classroom for infants. You will help with daily care routines, play-based learning, classroom organization, and ensuring every child feels seen, supported, and safe. Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher with age-appropriate activities that support infant development Help with daily routines including bottle feeding, meals, diapering, handwashing, naps, and transitions Supervise children closely and maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment Engage infants through music, reading, sensory activities, floor play, and positive interaction Help maintain classroom materials, sanitation routines, and health and safety standards Support each infant's individual routines, developmental needs, and comfort Communicate respectfully and professionally with families and fellow team members Follow all center policies, Ohio childcare licensing requirements, and mandated-reporting responsibilities Qualifications Experience working with infants or young children is preferred Patient, warm, dependable, and attentive to children's needs Comfortable with hands-on infant care, including diapering and bottle feeding Able to work well as part of a classroom team Strong communication skills and a positive attitude Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification preferred, or willingness to obtain it Must be able to meet all Ohio childcare background-check and training requirements This position is especially great for a college student pursuing education, a parent looking for daytime part-time work, a retired teacher, or anyone who loves working with babies and wants to be part of a supportive childcare team.
