Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a positive impact each day by providing dedicated support to a high school student in a dynamic educational setting. In this contract role as a paraprofessional, you will help facilitate a successful school experience by supervising and assisting one student with daily transitions and routines. Your attentiveness and commitment will help build the foundation for confident and engaged learning.
Key Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a school-based support role preferred Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, compassionate approach Ability to maintain focus and awareness throughout bus rides and transitions Punctuality and reliability for daily 7:30 am to 2:30 pm schedule Capability to follow policies, routines, and safety protocols in educational settings Team-oriented mindset and ability to communicate with school staff
Responsibilities:
Meet the assigned high school student each morning at the designated school location Ride the bus with the student to Tolles and back each school day, ensuring safety and support during transit Assist with transitions and provide encouragement to foster the student's sense of independence and security Serve as a bridge between the student and school staff, communicating relevant updates as needed Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment at all times Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all situations This role offers the chance to make a genuine difference in a young person's school experience while working alongside dedicated educators and support professionals.
