July 30, 2026Job Duties/Responsibilities :
To assist student with identified disabilities including physical and cognitive in the areas of preacademic, academic and personal care needs. Assistance may be provided individually, in small and/or large group settings including but not limited to a resource room and classroom environment. Student may need assistance with diapering, toileting, feeding, mobility support, transitioning from wheelchair or walker to floor/seat. Lifting may be required. Accommodations and instructional activities will be defined and directed by the classroom teacher and/or intervention specialist. Additional training will be provided by the district based on student's needs. Training in CPR and/or other delegated nursing tasks (e.g. medication and health management) will be expected and provided. Applicants must hold a high school diploma. It is the goal of Huber Heights City Schools to employ and maintain Highly Qualified paraprofessionals. Current employees will be encouraged to participate in district provided training and receive assistance to meet the Highly Qualified criteria as defined by No Child Left Behind. Both current and new employees must meet the Highly Qualified criteria as a condition of employment in any Federal designated Title One Building.
