Job Description

Seeking a dynamic, multi-talented, reliable teacher who floats between classrooms as needed to provide assistance and maintain a safe, high-quality learning environment. This role is responsible for supporting lead teachers, executing lesson plans when needed, and nurturing the developmental needs of children across various age groups, from infants to school-age.
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom and Child Support Adaptable teaching: Step in to lead classroom activities and routines in any age group as needed, following the lead teacher's curriculum.
Maintain ratios:
Provide direct supervision and maintain appropriate adult-to-child ratios in all indoor and outdoor settings, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
Implement activities:
Execute lesson plans and activities that engage children and promote their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
Assist with routines:
Aid children & lead teachers with daily routines, including mealtimes, diapering, toileting, and transitions.
Collaboration and Communication Team collaboration:
Work cooperatively with all staff to create a professional and supportive atmosphere. Assist lead teacher in maintaining a clean and inviting classroom.
Parent communication:
Maintain positive and open communication with parents and legal guardians, sharing information on their child's day-to-day activities and accomplishments.
Documentation:
Assist with classroom documentation, such as daily reports, accident reports, and other necessary paperwork. Health, Safety, and Compliance Safety protocol: Adhere strictly to all center policies, state licensing regulations, and health and safety guidelines.
Emergency response:
Be prepared to respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations, including performing first aid or CPR as needed.
Health and hygiene:
Follow all sanitation procedures for toys, equipment, and classroom areas to prevent the spread of illness.
Professional Development Ongoing training:
Participate in all required staff meetings, professional development workshops, and ongoing training to stay current on early childhood best practices.
Model behavior:
Serve as a positive role model for both children and staff members. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or GED required; CDA preferred but not required. CPR, First Aid will be provided Proven experience working in a childcare or early learning setting is highly desirable.
Flexibility and adaptability:
Must have a patient, empathetic, and adaptable personality, with the ability to transition smoothly between different tasks and age groups.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with children, families, and staff.
Physical stamina:
Must be able to perform physical labor, including lifting children, getting down to their level, and sitting on floor.
