Job Description

First Impressions Early Learning Center is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and nurturing care. Licensed by the state, we serve children from infancy through early elementary years, fostering social, emotional, and academic growth in a warm, supportive environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in delivering engaging lessons and creating a safe, inclusive classroom environment. Your energy and dedication will help inspire young learners and contribute to their development across various domains including literacy, math, social skills, and emotional well-being. Assist in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for early childhood education. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and fostering respectful interactions among children. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math skills, and social development. Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration. Collaborate with lead teachers to observe and document each child's progress and needs. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive educational experience. Support children with special needs or those with disabilities by adapting activities as needed. Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early learning standards. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to assist in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to diverse learners. Experience with classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and engagement. Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory. Pay:
$11.00 - $14.00 per hour
