Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated educational team as a Paraprofessional, where you'll play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs. In this dynamic position, you will assist classroom teachers in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), fostering an inclusive environment, and providing essential support to students with disabilities. Your energy and commitment will help create a positive learning atmosphere that promotes growth, independence, and success for every student. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children while gaining valuable experience in special education and early childhood development. Duties Support classroom instruction by assisting with lesson implementation, curriculum development, and literacy and math activities tailored to students' needs Provide behavioral management support for students with behavioral disorders or autism spectrum disorders, ensuring a safe and supportive environment Assist students with disabilities in daily activities, including physical assistance, classroom support, and behavior management strategies aligned with their IEP goals Collaborate closely with teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to develop and execute individualized support plans Qualifications Prior experience working with children, especially those with disabilities or special education needs is desirable but not mandatory because we do assist in training. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders preferred Ability to provide physical assistance for students requiring mobility or other physical support
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
