Job Description

The Madison Early Childhood Learning Center (MECLC) is an ODE licensed Preschool and Childcare program. MECLC currently has an opening for an Assistant Teacher in the School Age/ Latchkey program at Madison Primary and Intermediate School. The days for this position are Monday - Friday. Hours will vary based on availability and need of the program. This a before and after school program, so hours during school days are 6:30 am to 8:45 pm and/or 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
The Assistant Teacher:
Assist the Site Coordinator to plan, implement, and evaluate children in all programs using learning experiences designed to address a wide range of skill and developmental levels. Provide effective instruction using the lesson plan created by the Site Coordinator that enables students to gain knowledge, acquire skills, and develop positive learning behaviors through a variety of supports. Follow all ODE licensing rules/procedures and SUTQ rules. Provide support to the Site Coordinator to ensure all licensing rules and procedures are followed. Assist the Site Coordinator with conducting monthly drills. Perform additional work duties per the Site Coordinator.
