The ideal candidate will have experience working with students on the autism spectrum, a passion for special education, and the ability to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Our Teachers…. Assist teachers, therapists, and the Intervention Team in implementing each child's Individualized Education Program (IEP), therapeutic goals, and any applicable Behavior Support Plans. Support the implementation of classroom activities that promote children's cognitive, speech and language, social/emotional, behavioral, and motor development. Provide compassionate, high-quality care while assisting children with activities of daily living, including toileting, diapering/changing, meals, snacks, and other personal care needs. Help create and maintain a safe, clean, organized, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment in accordance with licensing requirements and organizational standards. Set up and clean up classroom materials, activities, and learning spaces throughout the school day. Actively participate in all classroom routines and activities while fostering a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with children, families, coworkers, and other stakeholders while promoting the mission and values of Abilities First. Participate in required trainings, in-services, and professional development opportunities to support continued growth and compliance. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of the Autism Learning Center. We are looking for
EXPERIENCED ASSISTANT TEACHERS
that are passionate about growth, development and making a difference. As a assistant teacher you will assist in implementing activities for children that stress emotional, physical, and social growth and provide resources for children to learn through active play, all while making a difference in your community with hands on experience in a learning environment.- Experience working in a childcare setting preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age Must be comfortable working or have experience working with children with varying abilities.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and background check

- Must enjoy see every child succeed Must have some continuing education beyond high school
