In this role, you will collaborate closely with lead teachers to implement Montessori-based curricula, foster positive classroom dynamics, and ensure each child's individual needs are met. Responsibilities Assist in preparing and organizing classroom materials aligned with Montessori principles and curriculum standards. Support the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans across subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies tailored to young children's developmental stages. Help manage classroom behavior by encouraging positive interactions and applying effective behavior management techniques. Provide individualized support to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism, ensuring an inclusive learning environment. Engage children in hands-on activities that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and independence while fostering social-emotional skills. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly. Skills Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages. Experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings. Knowledge of Montessori teaching methods and curriculum development. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members. Ability to assist with classroom management and behavior guidance techniques. Familiarity with literacy education, math concepts for early learners, and preschool teaching strategies. Technical proficiency in educational tools and classroom technology to enhance learning experiences. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism to support inclusive education practices. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators and support staff. Prior experience in childcare or early childhood education roles that involve lesson planning and curriculum support is highly desirable.
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
