Job Responsibilities:
Creating an
Engaging Learning Environment:
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and enthusiasm for learning. Fostering a
Supportive Classroom Culture:
Promote a classroom culture that values learning, respect, and collaboration among students. Address any behavioral or academic challenges with care and professionalism.
Lesson Plans:
Collaborate with the lead teacher and intervention specialist to create and implement lesson plans for students working with us on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Providing Feedback:
Offer constructive feedback to students and guide them in a 1:1 or small group setting to help them improve academically and develop essential skills. Work with accommodations and modifications for students on IEPs, ensuring their unique needs are met. Communicate progress to parents or guardians as needed.
Professional Development:
Attend professional development sessions at the start of the school year and participate in any extra staff work days or trainings indicated throughout the year.
Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive educational environment that prioritizes student success.
Maintaining Records:
Maintain accurate records of student sessions, session notes, and other relevant information to ensure effective tracking and reporting.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: High School diploma or GED Valid teaching aide certification. Previous teaching experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, especially those with IEPs. Organized and detail-oriented. Technologically proficient. How to
