Job Description

Papillion Enrichment Center is a thriving child care center with a location in Chesterland , Willoughby Hills, Ohio and a brand new center in Chicago, Illinois. We are excited about growing our company and finding the right teachers that will help us instill our philosophy onto our children. Our company offers vacation time, sick pay, & holiday pay after a year. Also, we offer many incentives, yearly reviews, and in-service trainings to help our employees grow as our company grows! Our Toddler teachers educate and care for children, ages 18 months-3 years old. Our teachers teach reading, writing, science, social studies, and other subjects in a way that young children can understand. Papillon Enrichment Center is seeking a passionate, nurturing, and experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to join our team! We are looking for someone who loves working with young children, values early childhood education, and is committed to creating a positive and engaging classroom environment. Position Overview The Lead Toddler Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth in a safe and loving environment. Qualifications CDA, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred; state requirements apply) Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a preschool or early childhood setting Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices Strong classroom management skills CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Background check clearance (required) Strong communication and organizational skills Passion for working with children and families Duties & Responsibilities Classroom Leadership Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans Create a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment Manage classroom routines and transitions effectively Maintain accurate attendance and documentation Child Development Observe and assess children's developmental progress Support social-emotional learning and positive behavior guidance Differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs Encourage independence, creativity, and problem-solving Family Communication Maintain open and professional communication with families Conduct parent conferences as needed Provide daily updates on children's progress and well-being Health & Safety Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations Maintain a clean and organized classroom Follow health and safety policies and procedures Supervise children at all times Team Collaboration Work collaboratively with assistant teachers and administration Participate in staff meetings and professional development Support a positive, team-oriented work culture What We're Looking For ✨ A warm and patient educator ✨ A team player with strong leadership skills ✨ Someone dependable, organized, and enthusiastic ✨ A professional who believes in early childhood education as the foundation for lifelong learning If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children and want to be part of a supportive and growing center, we would love to hear from you!
