The paraprofessional will work under the supervision of certified staff to provide instructional, behavioral, and classroom support that helps students achieve academic and personal success. Responsibilities include assisting teachers with classroom instruction and activities, working with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives, supervising students in various school settings, and helping maintain a structured and organized classroom environment. The paraprofessional may assist with preparing instructional materials, monitoring student progress, supporting behavior management strategies, and providing accommodations for students with diverse learning needs. In special education settings, the paraprofessional may assist students with academic tasks, communication, social skills development, mobility, personal care, and daily living skills as directed by the teacher and Individualized Education Program (IEP). The position requires maintaining confidentiality, promoting student independence, and fostering positive relationships with students, staff, and families. The successful candidate will demonstrate patience, flexibility, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to supporting student growth and success. Strong communication skills, dependability, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team are essential. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to work effectively with children and adolescents. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions and implement instructional and behavioral plans. Experience working with students in educational settings is preferred.
