Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Director/school-age teacher support our educational team in creating a nurturing and effective learning environment for children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a passion for early childhood education. This role involves assisting teachers in the classroom, providing individualized support to students, and fostering a positive atmosphere conducive to learning. Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring safety and promoting social skills. Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment. Support the development of children's cognitive, social, and emotional skills through interactive activities. Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns. Managing classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques. Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities. Qualifications Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or as a nanny is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Familiarity with special education strategies is a plus. Strong skills in classroom management and the ability to create a supportive learning environment. Experience with infant care or toddler care is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A patient, caring demeanor with a genuine love for educating young children. Ability to work collaboratively as part of an educational team.
