9688958-74079 Job Description Make a difference each day by supporting student growth as a dedicated paraprofessional working full-time with a sixth-grade learner. This contract opportunity runs through May 2027, offering you the chance to foster a supportive environment for a student with autism and play a key role in their academic journey. Youll work 35 hours each week, collaborating closely with teachers and staff to address the unique needs of one individual student. This position is a great fit for candidates who are passionate about helping students thrive, especially those with experience working with children on the autism spectrum.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Prior experience as a paraprofessional, preferably in elementary or middle school settings Significant experience supporting students with autism is required Ability to establish rapport and maintain patience with students who have unique learning and behavioral needs Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with teachers, specialists, and families Flexibility and adaptability to support an ever-evolving classroom environment High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree or higher in education or related field preferred
Responsibilities Include:
